FIRE GÜARRIOR

GÜARRIORS is a series of fighting gods from Mexican popular folklore.

It is the personification of a player of Mexican Wrestling.* It represents a technical fighter who plays with the element of fire. His outfit of jaguar animal-print thong, high boots and wearing a mask of the main Mexica god “Huitzilopochtli” associated with the sun, fire and war that fights against the RUDE forces of the God of Moon.

* Mexican Wrestling is a version of the Olympic Wrestling but with ground locks and aerial acrobatics.

On July 21st 2018, Mexican wrestling was named intangible cultural heritage of Mexico City.

GÜARRIORS es una serie de dioses luchadores del folklore popular mexicano.

Es la personificación de un  jugador de Lucha Libre Mexicana*. Representa a un luchador técnico que juega con el elemento de fuego.  Su atuendo de tanga de animal-print jaguar, botas altas y ataviado con un mascaron del principal dios mexica “Huitzilopochtli” asociado con el sol , el fuego y la guerra que pelea contra las fuerzas RUDAS del dios de la Luna. 

*La lucha libre mexicana es una versión de la lucha olímpica con llaves a piso y acrobacias aéreas.

El 21 de Julio de 2018, la lucha libre mexicana fue nombrada patrimonio cultural intangible de la Cuidad de México.
